Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC)

As one of the most time tested geomembrane materials on the market, PVC remains a popular specified material for a variety of containment applications. PVC is resistant to many industrial chemicals and can be formulated to be fish safe. Its flexibility not only allows it to conform to irregular subrages, but also provides excellent resistance to punctures and abrasions. Standard formulations of PVC are not UV resistant, so a soil cover of at least 12 inches is required to reach its full lifespan.

PVC can be prefabricated into custom sized panels up to 25,000 square feet and is available in thicknesses ranging from 20-60 mils.

  • Wastewater treatment lagoons
  • Decorative ponds
  • Canals and rivers
  • Landfill caps
  • Lakes and reservoirs

  • Plastatech
  • Nanya
  • Cpiatex

PVC can be prefabricated into custom sized panels, reducing field seaming and allowing for faster installation. The panels are deployed and seams are welded using either solvents or a wedge welder.
