AN INDUSTRY LEADER IN PAPERLESS QUALITY CONTROL

Simbeck and Associates is proud to announce full implementation of its new paperless quality control program as part of our focus on continual improvement. After 18 months of development and field testing, our new completely paperless electronic data collection and reporting program has been implemented, field tested, and proven to increase accuracy and speed of final as-built and quality control documentation. No more handling paper forms in the wind and rain, deciphering poor handwriting, or bleeding ink. Each of our crews and trained QA/QC technicians is equipped with rugged field tablets to perform daily collection of all field data, including daily production logs, trial and production seaming logs, destructive and non-destructive testing, and repair reports. This data is uploaded each day for review by project managers, and AutoCAD as-builts are produced concurrently with installation. With this system, we are able to quickly submit a completed QC packet to the engineer or owner, including all QC reports and as-builts, often the same day our crews demobilize from the project.

LEARN MORE ABOUT MODULAR GEOSYNTHETICS CONSTRUCTION

Modular construction is a process in which a building or other item is constructed primarily off-site; under controlled factory conditions; and using the same design, materials, equipment, testing and construction quality control and assurance (CQC/CQA) techniques as a field-constructed facility—but usually in about one-half the time (Modular Building Institute). Roof trusses, wood or concrete tilt-up walls, shower enclosures, tile patterns and other items are all examples of products that have adopted modular construction.
